Nineth and Tenth day Magome (Kiso valley) !

This is Magome its about 550 km from Shimoda and took about 5 hours by Bullet train :P
Magome is a Post town on the Nakasendo highway from the Edo period that used to connect Tokyo with Kyoto. Which the Samauri warriors used to use.

We had tea in a tea room that had the most beautiful view from the balcony.

This is the view from the tea room ;) The views are like this everywhere around this area, it`s what you imagine Japan to be like.

This cute little boy was collecting all the tea cups around the tea room. (The place was covered in his toy pokemon as well :P)

There are rice fields everywhere you look.

Went on a hiking walk for 8km between Magome and Tsumago (another old post town)
They had these bells scattered along the walk, so if you met a bear you could ring the bell really hard to scare it off :P (Although I wouldn`t have liked to test it out :P.)

This was a small tea room on the route that a little Japanese man called us in for a green tea.

More waterfalls on the way.

This is the other post town we walked to called Tsumago. Which is a listed edo town.

This is a really beautiful area and we will be sad to leave it behind. :(
